Stereotactic neurosurgery and radiosurgery for brain tumors as well as general neurosurgery, including spine surgery.

Dr. Brian Beyerl received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. His post-graduate general surgery training was completed at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and his neurosurgical residency was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He achieved his Board Certification in 1990 from the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Beyerl and Dr. Louis Schwartz are co-directors of the Atlantic Health Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program, the first of its kind in New Jersey. This program treats more patients than any other in the state.

Dr. Beyerl is currently working with the revolutionary radiosurgical device, the CyberKnife®. A member of The CyberKnife® Society and Co-Director of the program at Overlook Hospital, Dr. Beyerl describes the tool as a "computer-controlled radiosurgery system that delivers radiation to tumors in the brain, spine and elsewhere in the body with millimeter accuracy." The CyberKnife® enables physicians to treat certain previously inoperable tumors.
