Bio

Carl Stopper has served as the Director of Nursing at ANS | Altair Health for nearly 20 years. He oversees a team of top nurses who deliver best-in-class neurosurgical care.

A board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), Carl is known for his expertise, depth of experience and commitment to excellence. Prior to joining the practice, he served as a critical care nurse at Saint Joseph Hospital & Medical Center and Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he was named Critical Care Nurse of the Year.

Carl is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the New Jersey State Nurses Association and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has more than a dozen lectures to his credit, including multiple presentations at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting.

Carl earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science and Nursing – as well as his Master’s Degree in Nursing – from William Paterson University.
