Dr. Malhotra is quadruple board-certified in electrodiagnostic medicine, neuromuscular medicine, traumatic brain injury and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR or "physiatry").
A physiatrist subspecializing in electrodiagnostic medicine, Dr. Malhotra uses evidence-based approaches to diagnose, treat and restore function for patients suffering from musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and other conditions.
Just as he educates patients as part of the clinical process, Dr. Malhotra also educates physicians-in-training as a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and the Kessler residency program where he has won multiple teaching awards. He is an invited lecturer on electrodiagnostic medicine at PMR national board review courses. Nationally, he has served as a board examiner, presented at meetings, and served on committees of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). He actively publishes original papers in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for PM&R, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
