Dr. Allen is a Board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Bio

As a physiatrist, Dr. Allen specializes in restoring function and wellness for patients with a variety of medical conditions. She treats a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and more. Dr. Allen is known for her approach to treating the whole patient, not just the problem area. In addition to physiatry, she has extensive experience in pain management and treating fibromyalgia and rheumatologic disorders.

Dr. Allen also performs NCS/EMG studies for various neurological disorders, including carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathies and polyneuropathies.

Prior to joining Altair Health, Dr. Allen worked at a rehabilitation center and a pain and wellness center. She served as the chief resident at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center Manhattan Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center and an intern at its Midtown Hospital, both in New York. Dr. Allen received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Holy Cross College in Massachusetts. She also completed Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice as part of the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) certification program. She served as an intern in the White House Health Policy Office in Washington, DC.
